The latest update--my anxiety about the hassle of this apparently defective refrigerator has not been misplaced.

When I'm parked and not plugged in, which happens frequently, the constant running wears down my limited house batteries. This has been a major hassle on my book tour.

The noise of it constantly running is like scraping nails across the chalkboard.

I spoke with a seemingly sympathetic Norcold rep who validated my sense that things are amiss in this saga. And she promised the muscle to get it right. Once I get back to IL...if I don't go crazy!

Let me add a suggestion. My book, Dismazed and Driven - My Look at Family Homelessness in America, trailed A Promised Land at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh. I'd bet if you read mine you'll be moved to help! I've got just the slot for you, our Memorial Blanket Project.
