Bullies are everywhere. And they do a huge amount of harm by their very existence. You identified why you were "attractive" to your bully--late arrival to your new school, physical appearance, etc. I've heard from lots of families experiencing homelessness I've interviewed that their kids are bullied. It has a major impact, not a good one, either.
