Memo to idiot: “hope you have a great day” fails as the ending of your 7/14/22 missive that forces tenants in your apartment complex to get rid of their pets by 8/15/22, observing that “We understand that pets can be like family…”

Yes. In addition to rent-raising assault that continues unabated across the land, property managers are targeting households with pets. This Dear tenant/s letter doesn’t specify what kind of pets. All pets. And have a great day.

Pummeling people in poverty the new pastime of power mongers.

Unprecedented rent increases in urban, suburban, and rural communities have forced countless households to abandon ship and seek cheaper digs. Trouble is, at the bottom of the rental market is a dearth of affordable housing. Who could see that coming?

To add insult to injury, poverty-pummeled households with pets are abandoning them in record numbers. Pet rescue operations give us a preview of what will happen to people rescue efforts as more hit…
