For all the qualities you list that Facebook should have, I’d start with a little customer service. Under the guise of protecting me from evil forces (my interpretation) they discontinued my account access on Saturday, told me to send a photo of myself so they knew it was me (??) and they’d get back to me. They haven’t.
I rely on FB for my nonprofit business, circulating stories about family/youth homelessness, sharing links to my videos, promoting my enewsletter, generating speaking engagements and film screenings, keeping in touch with families I’ve filmed, and raising money.
It’s not the same on Twitter or Instagram. Besides, I think those platforms are even worse than FB (another story for another day). My FB family doesn’t know what happened to me.
And I have no recourse.
