Having spent 18 years on the road in a small camper, I can appreciate and validate your observations. It’s easy, but unproductive, to get hung up on material comfort when the experiences of travel offer so much true pleasure. My travel is for a purpose, chronicling family/youth homelessness (www.hearus.us), which satisfies my need to contribute to humanity. Absorbing the sights along the way is the bonus.
