I had a similar reaction when I saw the NYT headline.

kay to normalize this racis…ber in a bombed out landscape of destruction and despair — and turn it into another French Riviera. How is it okay to normalize this racist, cruel, selfish, imperialist, money grubbing, brutal, colonialist, and batshit crazy idea by implying it might work except for a few “pitfalls?”

I had a similar reaction when I saw the NYT headline. Sometimes I think the only reason I hang onto my NYT subscription is the crossword puzzle.
