Melissa courageously faced the county board commissioners alone. Everyone else was too traumatized to come. She had 3 minutes to share this ongoing saga and relate the impact it will have on a dozen households.

She said the commissioners listened. And seemed concerned. Whether or not that will translate to action remains to be seen.

She and the families must feel more hopeless than I do, and I feel quite hopeless.

Tomorrow is the day the water gets shut off to this trailer park, putting all the residents — who have nowhere to go and no resources to access options — in a category, homeless, they all would choose to avoid. No one seems to care.
