Thanks for your concise overview of the impact of childhood trauma on adults.

Following decades of work running shelters and training educators on the rights of homeless students to access education, I’ve spent the past 16 years traveling backroads to film interviews of families experiencing homelessness (www.hearus.us is my nonprofit’s website).

I recently interviewed a mom who could check everything on the ACEs list. She’s doing a commendable job navigating her many challenges, but speed bumps likely will impact her and her family’s vulnerable situations.

It’s frustrating that people in poverty lack access to mental health services that could ease their significant challenges caused by trauma. I’ve long thought of developing trauma tip sheets geared for families experiencing homelessness, but I lack the professional background in mental health.

What resources would you suggest to point me in the right direction?
