While I won't argue that some government money goes astray, it's usually not the poorest among us that benefits as much as the opposite on the spectrum. That criticism seems to mostly fall on deaf ears.

Your stereotypes don't reflect the homeless population in the least. That's part of our nation's problem with the ongoing, and growing issue of homelessness.
